Corrigendum: Distinguishing genomic homogenization from parapatric speciation in an elevationally replacing pair of Ramphocelus tanagers

2022
Geographically connected species pairs with weakly differentiated genomes could either represent cases of genomic homogenization in progress or of incipient parapatric speciation. Discriminating between these processes is difficult because intermediate stages of either may produce weakly differentiated genomes that diverge at few locations.

Isospora ramphoceli n. sp. (Apicomplexa: Eimeriidae) from the Brazilian tanager (Aves: Passeriformes: Thraupidae) Ramphocelus bresilius dorsalis Sclater, 1855

Zootaxa, 2010
In the current study, a new coccidian species (Protozoa: Apicomplexa: Eimeriidae) collected from the Brazilian tanager Ramphocelus bresilius dorsalis Sclater, 1855 is reported from Brazil. Isospora ramphoceli n. sp. has oocysts which are spherical to sub-spherical, 23.7 × 22.8 μ m, with smooth, bilayered wall, ~1.2 μ m thick. Micropyle, oocyst residuum

Display Patterns of Tropical American "Nine-Primaried" Songbirds II. Some Species of Ramphocelus

The Auk, 1962
Crimson-backed Tanagers are common in many areas of second-growth forest and scrub in central and eastern Panama. Some aspects of their behavior in some of these areas, including their general social and nesting habits, have been described in previous publications (e.g., Skutch, 1954, and Moynihan, 1962a).

Genetic differentiation over a short water barrier in the Brazilian tanager, Ramphocelus bresilius (Passeriformes: Thraupidae) an endemic species of the Atlantic forest, Brazil

Conservation Genetics, 2014
Atlantic forest is a biome of high diversity that is increasingly under threat from habitat clearance. This habitat contains a large number of endemic species, many of which are currently endangered. Here, we consider the genetic population structure of a Brazilian endemic bird restricted to Atlantic forest, the Brazilian tanager, Ramphocelus bresilius.

Urotocus rossittensis (Trematoda: Digenea: Leucochloriidae) in the Scarlet-Rumped Tanager, Ramphocelus passerinii, and Common Bush Tanager, Chlorospingus ophthalmicus (Passeriformes: Thraupidae), From the Área De Conservación Guanacaste, Costa Rica, with Taxonomic Revision of the Genus and Revised Key to the Leuchochloridiid-Like Brachylaimoidea

Journal of Parasitology, 2006
Urotocus rossittensis occurs in the bursa Fabricii of the scarlet-rumped tanager, Ramphocelus passerinii, and the common bush tanager, Chlorospingus ophthalmicus, from the Area de Conservación Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Morphological examination of type material of U. fusiformis and U. kenyensis and Costa Rican specimens suggests that U. fusiformis and U.

Molecular Phylogenetics and Biogeography of Tanagers in the GenusRamphocelus(Aves)

Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 1996
Ramphocelus tanagers are distributed throughout the Neotropical lowlands. In this paper, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequence data from cytochrome b and ND2 genes are used to estimate relationships among seven of nine species of the avian genus Ramphocelus.
