Asymmetric Electrostrain/Electrobending in Piezoelectric Ceramics: Role of Defect Dipoles or Oxygen Vacancies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Defect‐configurational origins of the asymmetric apparent electrostrain are revealed in different piezoelectric ceramics via atomic‐scale visualization of defect configurations. Migration of oxygen vacancies leads to the electrobending effect in N2‐sintered BaTiO3, while defect dipoles in Ba0.99TiO2.99 generate true asymmetric electrostrain without ...

Mechanism‐Informed Machine Learning Enables Discovery of Oncolytic Peptides for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MISPOP integrates ensemble learning with membrane‐active physicochemical priors to identify Dermaseptin‐S9, a natural oncolytic peptide that disrupts tumor membranes, triggers immunogenic cell death, and shows strong antitumor activity. The study illustrates a mechanism‐informed route from peptide sequence data to cancer immunotherapy leads.

Slicing the Edge: Resource Allocation for RAN Network Slicing

IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2018
Network slicing is considered to be a crucial feature of fifth generation cellular systems. By dividing the network infrastructure into multiple logical segments, network slicing can support parallel services with different requirements. While technology developments focus on slicing the core networks, there are limited studies in network slicing for ...

Enabling 5G RAN Slicing With EDF Slice Scheduling

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2019
Network slicing serves as a key mechanism in fifth generation (5G) networks to support vertical industries with diversified service requirements in terms of the throughput, latency, reliability, etc. An end-to-end slice may include both a radio access network (RAN) part and a core network (CN) part.
