We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Preamble retransmission assisted control-based mMTC dynamic random access
To address the issue of severe network congestion in the scenario of massive machine-type communications (mMTC), where machine-type communication devices (MTCD) employing traditional random access schemes often encountered challenges leading to a large ...

Quantum random access coding (QRAC) is one of the basic tools in quantum computing. It uses a quantum state for encoding the sender's bit string so that the receiver can recover any single bit of the bit string with high probability. This article surveys recent developments of QRAC, with some concrete examples of QRAC using one quantum bit, and its ...

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Random Access Remixing On The Ipad
Remixing audio samples is a common technique for the creation of electronic music, and there are a wide variety oftools available to edit, process, and recombine pre-recordedaudio into new compositions. However, all of these toolsconceive of the timeline of the pre-recorded audio and theplayback timeline as identical.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
