Invariant foliations for stochastic dynamical systems with multiplicative stable Levy noise

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
This work concerns the dynamics of a class of stochastic dynamical systems with a multiplicative non-Gaussian Levy noise. We first establish the existence of stable and unstable foliations for this kind of system via the Lyapunov-Perron method.

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.

Entropy for control problems and random escape rates

open access: yes, 2015
This talk is about the control-theoretic problem to determine the smallest rate of information in a feedback loop above which a control system can solve a given control task.

Efficacy of Intermittent Theta‐Burst Stimulation for Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging evidence suggests that low‐frequency neural oscillations are dynamically regulated by consciousness levels, with the recovery of low cortical activity potentially serving as a neurophysiological substrate for conscious emergence. Targeted enhancement of these low‐frequency rhythms in patients with disorders of consciousness

Random Walks and Non-Linear Paths in Macroeconomic Time Series: Some Evidence and Implications [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates whether the inherent non-stationarity of macroeconomic time series is entirely due to a random walk or also to non-linear components. Applying the numerical tools of the analysis of dynamical systems to long time series for the US,

Clinical Validation of Plasma p‐217tau in Neurological Diseases

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Plasma p‐217tau is a minimally invasive but specific biomarker for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, its disease specificity remains to be clinically evaluated. We validated the reliability of the p‐217tau biomarker in 12 other neurological diseases.

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Dynamical approaches to modeling developmental gene regulatory networks

open access: yes
The network of interacting regulatory signals within a cell comprises one of the most complex and powerful computational systems in biology. Gene regulatory networks play a key role in transforming the information encoded in a genome into morphological ...

Effectiveness of rTMS on Working Memory and Inhibitory Impairments in Patients With Post‐Stroke Executive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...

Necessary and Sufficient Conditions for Stable Synchronisation in Random Dynamical Systems

open access: yes, 2014
For a composition of i.i.d. random maps or a memoryless stochastic flow on a compact space $X$, we find conditions under which the presence of locally asymptotically stable trajectories (e.g.
