Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Research and Simulation of Queue Management Algorithms in Ad Hoc Networks Under DDoS Attack

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Concentrating on the influence of DDoS applied to ad hoc networks, we introduced three classic queue management algorithms: Drop-Tail, random early detection (RED), and random exponential marking (REM). We analyzed and compared the defensive abilities of

Early Detection of Diabetes Using Random Forest Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Information System Exploration and Research
Diabetes is one of the most chronic and deadly diseases. According to data from WHO in 2021, there were approximately 422 million adults living with diabetes worldwide, and this number is expected to continue to increase in the future due to various factors.

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Comparative Analysis of Random Forest, Logistic Regression and SVM for Stunting Prediction Using Anthropometric Data

open access: yesJournal of Information Systems and Informatics
Stunting remains a critical nutritional issue in Indonesia, significantly impacting the physical and cognitive development of children under five. Prompt and accurate detection of nutritional status is essential for early intervention. This study aims to
