Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Characterizing joint distributions of random sets by multivariate capacities
By the Choquet theorem, distributions of random closed sets can be characterized by a certain class of set functions called capacity functionals. In this paper a generalization to the multivariate case is presented, that is, it is proved that the joint ...

Universal Conductance Fluctuations in Quantum Anomalous Hall Insulators
Universal conductance fluctuations are observed in mesoscopic quantum anomalous Hall insulators. Two distinct fluctuation patterns are identified, arising from different interference processes of bulk and chiral edge states, respectively. These findings unveil rich quantum interference phenomena in quantum anomalous Hall insulators and provide insights

Uncorrelatedness Sets of Discrete Random Variables Via Vandermonde-Type Determinants
Given random variables X and Y having finite moments of all orders, their uncorrelatedness set is defined as the set of all pairs (j, k) is an element of N-2; for which X-j and Y-kappa are uncorrelated.

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Description of random level sets by polynomial chaos expansions
We present a novel approach to determine the evolution of level sets under uncertainties in the velocity fields. This leads to a stochastic description of the level sets.

Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Beyond language: Applying MLX transformers to engineering physicsMLX Beyond Language
Transformer Neural Networks are driving an explosion of activity and discovery in the field of Large Language Models (LLMs). In contrast, there have been only a few attempts to apply Transformers in engineering physics.

Gapless Superconductivity From Extremely Dilute Magnetic Disorder in 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx
We demonstrate that 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx hosts gapless superconductivity at unexpectedly low magnetic impurity concentrations. Combining STM, Bogoliubovde Gennes simulations, DFT, and quasiparticle interference, we comprehensively study the development of gapless behavior and show that SeS substitution reshapes the band structure, enhances nesting, and drives ...

Random closed sets and particle processes
In this thesis we are concerned with representation of random closed sets in Rd with values concentrated on a space UX of locally finite unions of sets from a given class X ⊂ F.
