We demonstrate two-threshold random laser emission in the mixtures of GaAs powder with Al2O3 powder. The dilution of GaAs powder with Al2O3 powder helps to maximize the output efficiency of the stimulated emission.

The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the concept of a random laser and show how strongly the properties of random lasers depend on the strength of light scattering in a gain medium.
