Speckle experiments in random lasers [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2002
We present measurements of speckle in a random laser. We analyze its first-order statistics and show that, contrary to what might be expected for passive systems, analyses of the intensity distribution P(I) and the speckle spot size do provide information about light transport inside the system. P(I) is used to determine the degree to which an incident

Comparative Study of Ultra-Narrow-Mode Generation in Random Fiber Lasers Based on Different Fiber Types

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
We studied the properties of ultra-narrow spectral modes, appearing in random distributed feedback Raman fiber lasers, for different fibers building up a laser cavity.

A fractional diffusion random laser [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
AbstractThe goal of this letter is to introduce the concept of a non-resonant fractional random laser. This is achieved by extending the classical Letokhov model of photon diffusion through disordered gain media to fractional differential operators in space and time.

Tunable replica symmetry breaking in random laser

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
Replica symmetry breaking (RSB) has been widely recognized as a statistical analysis approach to understand the disorder and nonlinear interactions in complex systems ranging from atoms to the cosmic scale.

Waveguided nematic liquid crystal random lasers

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2021
In waveguided nematic liquid crystal random lasers (NLCRLs), we realize polarized random laser (RL) emission and discover that the waveguide effect reduces the transmission loss of the RL whose polarization is parallel to the liquid crystal molecules ...

Tunable Random Fiber Laser Based on Dual-Grating Structure

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
In order to reduce the pumping threshold and achieve a short-cavity single-mode transmission with a narrow-linewidth random fiber laser, we propose a tunable random fiber laser based on the combination of random grating and highly reflective fiber Bragg ...

The controllable intensity and polarization degree of random laser from sheared dye-doped polymer-dispersed liquid crystal

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2017
The random laser from sheared dye-doped polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (DDPDLC) is investigated. As the emission intensity weakens, the threshold of random laser from DDPDLC increases from 2.0 mJ/pulse to 4.0 mJ/pulse, and the degree of polarization ...

Triple-Wavelength Thulium-Doped Fiber Random Laser Based on Random Fiber Grating

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
We demonstrate a triple-wavelength thulium-doped fiber random laser using a 10 cm long random fiber grating to provide random distributed feedback and a superimposed fiber Bragg grating as the wavelength-selective mirror.

The Origin of Threshold Reduction in Random Lasers Based on MoS2/Au NPs: Charge Transfer

open access: yesPhotonics
Random lasers have attracted much attention in recent years owing to their advantages of a simple fabrication process, low processing cost, and material flexibility for any lasing wavelengths.

Broadband plasmonic silver nanoflowers for high-performance random lasing covering visible region

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2017
Multicolor random lasing has broad potential applications in the fields of imaging, sensing, and optoelectronics. Here, silver nanoflowers (Ag NF) with abundant nanogaps are fabricated by a rapid one-step solution-phase synthesis method and are first ...
