Advanced Adaptive Decoder Using Fulcrum Network Codes

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Reliable and effective forward error correction is challenging, especially in a heterogeneous transmission environment, due to the differences in computation capabilities of end devices.

Practical Random Linear Network Coding on GPUs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Recently, random linear network coding has been widely applied in peer-to-peer network applications. Instead of sharing the raw data with each other, peers in the network produce and send encoded data to each other. As a result, the communication protocols have been greatly simplified, and the applications experience higher end-to-end throughput and ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Typical sumsets of linear codes

open access: yes, 2016
Given two identical linear codes $\mathcal C$ over $\mathbb F_q$ of length $n$, we independently pick one codeword from each codebook uniformly at random.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

FpRS-Additive Cyclic Codes are Asymptotically Good

open access: yesIEEE Access
In coding theory, the rate and the relative minimum distance are two important invariants to assess a family of codes’ asymptotic characteristics.

Passive network tomography for erroneous networks: A network coding approach

open access: yes, 2010
Passive network tomography uses end-to-end observations of network communication to characterize the network, for instance to estimate the network topology and to localize random or adversarial glitches.

Sparse Random Linear Network Coding For Low Latency Allcast [PDF]

open access: yes2019 57th Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing (Allerton), 2019
Numerous applications require the sharing of data from each node on a network with every other node. In the case of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs), it will be necessary for vehicles to update each other with their positions, manoeuvring intentions, and other telemetry data, despite shadowing caused by other vehicles.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.
