Systematic-RLNC Based Secure and QoS Centric Routing Scheme for WSNs

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2019
In this paper a highly robust and efficient systematic-random linear network coding (S-RLNC) routing scheme is proposed. Unlike classic security systems, the proposed S-RLNC transmission model incorporates an advanced pre-coding and interleaving concept ...

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Singularity Probability Analysis for Sparse Random Linear Network Coding

open access: yes, 2011
Motivated by the noncoherent subspace coding approach and the low-complexity sparse coding approach to realize random linear network coding, we consider the problem of characterizing the probability of having a full rank (or nonsingular) square transfer ...

DNAE-GAN: Noise-free acoustic signal generator by integrating autoencoder and generative adversarial network

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2020
Linear predictive coding is an extremely effective voice generation method that operates through simple process. However, linear predictive coding–generated voices have limited variations and exhibit excessive noise.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

The Throughput of Slotted Aloha with Diversity

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, a simple variation of classical Slotted Aloha is introduced and analyzed. The enhancement relies on adding multiple receivers that gather different observations of the packets transmitted by a user population in one slot.

Application Layer Systematic Network Coding for Sliced H.264/AVC Video Streaming

open access: yesAdvances in Multimedia, 2012
Application Layer Forward Error Correction (AL-FEC) with rateless codes can be applied to protect the video data over lossy channels. Expanding Window Random Linear Codes (EW RLCs) are a flexible unequal error protection fountain coding scheme which can ...

On lattices, learning with errors, random linear codes, and cryptography

open access: yesProceedings of the thirty-seventh annual ACM symposium on Theory of computing, 2005
Our main result is a reduction from worst-case lattice problems such as GapSVP and SIVP to a certain learning problem. This learning problem is a natural extension of the “learning from parity with error” problem to higher moduli. It can also be viewed as the problem of decoding from a random linear code.

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Fulcrum: Flexible Network Coding for Heterogeneous Devices

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
We introduce Fulcrum, a network coding framework that achieves three seemingly conflicting objectives: 1) to reduce the coding coefficient overhead down to nearly n bits per packet in a generation of n packets; 2) to conduct the network coding using only
