: This study aimed to assess the milk production data for New Zealand dairy goats in either a standard lactation (SL; ≤305 d in milk [DIM]) or extended lactation (EL; >305 and ≤670 DIM) using a random regression (RR) with third- and fifth-order Legendre ...

Comparison of different traits to evaluate the growth of bulls
The live weights of 8 243 performance-tested bulls from 100 to 400 days of age were analysed using random regression (RR) and single-trait animal models.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Selection index for beef cattle that maximizes overall growth yet constraining birth weight and other traits [PDF]
Objective Maximizing growth throughout the growth period is a practical goal in the beef industry. We developed a novel selection index, called the maximum growth index, that maximizes the growth throughout the growth process and simultaneously achieves ...

Panel Regression with Random Noise [PDF]
The paper explores the effect of measurement errors on the estimation of a linear panel data model. The conventional fixed effects estimator, which ignores measurement errors, is biased.

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.
