A Structural Analysis of the Correlated Random Coefficient Wage Regression Model [PDF]

open access: yes
We estimate a finite mixture dynamic programming model of schooling decisions in which the log wage regression function is set in a random coefficient framework.

A Study of Panel Logit Model and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System in the Prediction of Financial Distress Periods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The purpose of this paper is to present two different approaches of financial distress pre-warning models appropriate for risk supervisors, investors and policy makers. We examine a sample of the financial institutions and electronic companies of Taiwan

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Análises da persistência na lactação de vacas da raça Holandesa, usando produção no dia do controle e modelo de regressão aleatória Analysis of persistency in the lactation of Holstein cows using test-day yield and random regression model

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

A novel analysis of random forest regression model for wind speed forecasting

open access: yesCogent Engineering
This article uses a random forest regression (RFR) model to analyze wind speed forecasting. Wind energy is one of the more critical potentials in renewable energy sources for producing a clean and safe environment. Accurate and stable wind forecasting is

Decomposition of ethnic heterogeneity on growth [PDF]

open access: yes
Empirical results from a random-effects regression model show that ethnic heterogeneity has a negative effect on growth. The negative effect is seen largely in the hampering of efficiency improvements, but not capital accumulation.Ethnic ...
