Fast Number Theoretic Transform for Ring-LWE on 8-bit AVR Embedded Processor
In this paper, we optimized Number Theoretic Transform (NTT) and random sampling operations on low-end 8-bit AVR microcontrollers. We focused on the optimized modular multiplication with secure countermeasure (i.e., constant timing), which ensures high ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Inference in economic experiments
Replication crisis and debates about p-values have raised doubts about what we can statistically infer from research findings, both in experimental and observational studies.

Signal Recovery on Graphs: Random versus Experimentally Designed Sampling
We study signal recovery on graphs based on two sampling strategies: random sampling and experimentally designed sampling. We propose a new class of smooth graph signals, called approximately bandlimited, which generalizes the bandlimited class and is ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Simulation-Based Inference: Random Sampling vs. Random Assignment? What Instructors Should Know
“Simulation-based inference” is often considered a pedagogical strategy for helping students develop inferential reasoning, for example, giving them a visual and concrete reference for deciding whether the observed statistic is unlikely to happen by ...

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

OPTIMAL RANDOM SAMPLING DESIGNS IN RANDOM FIELD SAMPLING [PDF]
A Horvitz-Thompson predictor is proposed for spatial sampling when the characteristic of interest is modeled as a random field. Optimal sampling designs are deduced under this context. Fixed and variable sample size are considered.

This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.
