Targeting Post‐Irradiation Thyroid Dysfunction: Electrospun Scaffolds As A Dual‐Action Approach for Antioxidant and Immune Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

Reduction of Phase Noise of Highly Stable Quartz Oscillators Under Vibration by Means of Cable Vibration Isolators

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники
The influence of random vibration effects on the phase noise of quartz generators is examined. To reduce this noise, it is proposed to use a VI 0.8/0 cable vibration isolator.

Fluid Forces Control Structural Remodeling of Blind‐Ended Lymphatic Microvessels

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Using innovative microfluidic biofabrication with fluid mechanical insights, we recapitulated the blind‐ended microanatomy and physiological drainage properties of capillary lymphatics. Our results reveal the interrelationship between intra‐ and extraluminal regions of lymphatic vessels due to flow‐induced sprouting and morphological changes that ...

Evolutionary Spectra in Random Vibrations

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B: Statistical Methodology, 1973
Summary The evolutionary spectral representation for a class of non-stationary random processes is applied to vibrating systems. Input-response relations are developed for single degree of freedom and multimode systems involving time-varying spectra for both univariate and bivariate processes.

Dynamic Loads Generation for Multi-Point Vibration Excitation Problems [PDF]

open access: yes
A random-force method has been developed to predict dynamic loads produced by rocket-engine random vibrations for new rocket-engine designs. The method develops random forces at multiple excitation points based on random vibration environments scaled ...

Biomimetic Copper‐Doped Nano‐Aluminum Adjuvant Potentiates Therapy in Chemoresistant Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a novel copper‐doped aluminum nano‐adjuvant (CuNA) to overcome cytarabine resistance in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). CuNA effectively sensitizes drug‐resistant AML cells to cytarabine by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction and inhibiting HMGCR/GPX4 to amplify ferroptosis.
