Study Protocol for Multi-Center, Open-Label, Randomized Controlled Trial for Assessing the Efficacy and Safety of Electroacupuncture for Cold Hypersensitivity in Hands and Feet

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacopuncture
Objectives: Cold hypersensitivity in the hands and feet (CHHF) is defined as the symptom of a sensation of coldness in the extremities under conditions that are not considered cold by an unaffected person.

p190A/ARHGAP35 and p190B/ARHGAP5 proteins in endometrial cancer: a novel cancer‐relevant paralog interplay

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study identifies ARHGAP5, in addition to the frequently mutated ARHGAP35, as significantly mutated in endometrial cancer. Mutations in both genes co‐occur and are associated with their correlated downregulation. Functional CRISPR studies show that both paralogs regulate similar pathways, including actin cytoskeleton organization.

Unique circulating miRNAome signatures captured with distinct molecular states in Lynch syndrome and sporadic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNA profiles distinguish nonmalignant Lynch syndrome from cancer‐associated Lynch syndrome, sporadic colorectal cancer, and healthy controls. Age‐stratified analysis reveals disease‐specific regulatory states, and a six‐miRNA panel shows concordant separation in an independent colorectal tissue cohort.

The effectiveness of psychotherapies in reducing further suicide attempts: a systematic review with meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

open access: yesCiencias Psicológicas
There is little evidence on the effectiveness of psychotherapeutic interventions in reducing new suicide attempts. This article aims to evaluate the effectiveness of psychotherapeutic interventions in reducing suicide attempts among patients with a ...

Targeting the EpCAM‐AXL axis to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Lung cancer cells often evade therapy by hijacking signaling pathways. We reveal that cleaved EpCAM (sEpCAM) stabilizes the oncogenic protein AXL, driving NF‐κB and STAT3‐mediated chemoresistance. This EpCAM‐AXL axis identifies a high‐risk patient subset with poor prognosis.

Characterization of therapeutic antibodies targeting lymphatic and vascular resistance factor for the treatment of hypervascularized and highly metastatic cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LVRF (lymphatic and vascular resistance factor) is a VEGFA splice variant upregulated in response to anti‐angiogenic therapy that fosters tumor adaptation through enhanced vascularization, lymphangiogenesis, and metastatic dissemination. Targeting LVRF with fully human neutralizing antibodies disrupts these processes and limits resistant tumor growth ...

Prehospital pulse-dose glucocorticoid on index of microvascular resistance in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: a sub-study of the PULSE-MI trial

open access: yesJournal of Inflammation
Background Microvascular injury in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) occurs in up to 50%, yet no therapeutic target exists.

Reprogramming tumor cells with LCOR mRNA nanotherapy to enhance immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LCOR (Ligand‐dependent corepressor) mRNA encapsulated in polymeric nanoparticles restores LCOR activity in tumor cells, constraining aggressive tumor cell states and increasing tumor immunogenicity. This reprogramming makes tumor cells more vulnerable to T‐cell attack and enhances their response to immune‐checkpoint immunotherapy.

Tumour‐proximal deep serum proteomics identifies biomarkers associated with ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
New biomarkers are needed for early ovarian cancer detection. Ovarian (tumour‐proximal) and peripheral vein serum from healthy women and patients with benign or malignant tumours underwent nanoparticle‐enriched deep proteomics. Ovarian serum yielded more protein identifications and revealed tumour‐reflective signatures.

Attitudes of cancer patients toward ctDNA‐based liquid biopsy for follow‐up

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This mixed‐methods study explored cancer patients' experiences, knowledge, and preferences regarding ctDNA‐based liquid biopsy for follow‐up. Awareness of ctDNA was low and recall of previous liquid biopsy was imperfect, yet acceptance was high.
