Random Fluctuations of Response Rate

Psychometrika, 1962
A simple model for fluctuating interresponse times is developed and studied. It involves a mechanism that generates regularly spaced excitations, each of which can trigger off a response after a random delay. The excitations are not observable, but their periodicity is reflected in a regular patterning of responses.

The Randomized Response Approach

Evaluation Review, 1980
A considerable amount of attention has been afforded the randomized response approach over the past decade in an attempt to refine this method of reducing evasive answer bias in surveys of sensitive information. In this article we review these developments in an introductory fashion and address various concerns in designing a randomized response ...

Response of Plates to Random Load

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1968
By virtue of the mean-square calculus, a technique has been developed to determine the covariance and spectral-density functions for a plate of arbitrary boundary conditions subjected to loadings that are random in space and time. Also cross covariance and resulting spectral density functions are found.

Group Response‐Adaptive Randomization With Delayed and Missing Responses

Statistics in Medicine
ABSTRACTResponse‐adaptive randomization (RAR) procedures have been extensively studied in the literature, but most of the procedures rely on updating the randomization after each response, which is impractical in many clinical trials. In this article, we propose a new family of RAR procedures that dynamically update based on the responses of a group of

Randomized Response Techniques

2018
There are situations when we need information on sensitive features/characteristics of the individuals in a population. Usual sampling techniques based on ‘direct’ questionnaire may not be fruitful and are likely to lead to ‘refusal’ or ‘untruthful’ reporting.
