Velocity, Distance and Shoulder Range of Motion in Two Throwing Programs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Success in baseball pitching is determined by throwing velocity and accuracy. Strength conditioning, as well as repetitive throwing programs, are used to improve the pitch.

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

The influence of ship motion of manual control skills [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The effects of ship motion on a range of typical manual control skills were examined on the Warren Spring ship motion simulator driven in heave, pitch, and roll by signals taken from the frigate HMS Avenger at 13 m/s (25 knots) into a force 4 wind.

Orientation and Motion of Water Molecules at Air/Water Interface

open access: yes, 2005
Analysis of SFG vibrational spectra of OH stretching bands in four experimental configurations shows that orientational motion of water molecule at air/water interface is libratory within a limited angular range.

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Some properties of the range of super-Brownian motion

open access: yes, 1998
We consider a super-Brownian motion $X$. Its canonical measures can be studied through the path-valued process called the Brownian snake. We obtain the limiting behavior of the volume of the $\epsilon$-neighborhood for the range of the Brownian snake ...

Lower Extremity Strength and the Range of Motion in Relation to Squat Depth

open access: yesJournal of Human Kinetics, 2015
The purpose of this study was to determine which variables of the range of motion (ROM) and strength of the hip, and ankle are associated with squat depth. In total, 101 healthy subjects (64 males, 37 females) participated in the study.

Comprehensive omics‐based classification system in adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The COMBAT classification system, developed through multi‐omics integration, stratifies adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B‐ALL) into three molecular subtypes with distinct surface antigen patterns, immune landscape, methylation patterns, biological pathways and prognosis.

Assessment of Kinematics and Electromyography Following Arthroscopic Single-Tendon Rotator Cuff Repair [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background The increasing demand for rotator cuff (RC) repair patients to return to work as soon as they are physically able has led to exploration of when this is feasible. Current guidelines from our orthopedic surgery clinic recommend a return to work
