Quantum Brownian Motion With Large Friction
Quantum Brownian motion in the strong friction limit is studied based on the exact path integral formulation of dissipative systems. In this limit the time-nonlocal reduced dynamics can be cast into an effective equation of motion, the quantum ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Complications of diabetes mellitus on muscles and joints of lower extremities [PDF]
Introduction: Non-enzymatic protein glycosylation in diabetic patients leads to stiffening of collagen-containing tissues affecting joint mobility. Motor dysfunction in diabetic patients can be detected as muscle weakness or atrophy.

Microrheology probes length scale dependent rheology [PDF]
We exploit the power of microrheology to measure the viscoelasticity of entangled F-actin solutions at different length scales from 1 to 100 mu m over a wide frequency range.

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Coherent motion in the interaction model of cold glasses
We have studied the collective phenomena of multicomponent glasses at ultra low temperatures [Strehlow, et. al, Phys. Rev. Lett 80, 5361 (1998)] by taking into account the proper interaction between tunneling centers.
