Soil Seed Bank Holds Some Potential for Natural Regeneration in a Semi‐Arid Rangeland
ABSTRACT Natural regeneration of degraded lands can be facilitated by the recruitment of plant species from the soil seed bank. However, the composition of soil seed banks in arid Australia has seldom been studied. We addressed this knowledge gap by quantifying the soil seed bank of chenopod shrubland and remnant Acacia aneura (mulga) stands in an ex ...

Are we there yet? Reliable occupancy modeling from AI‐labeled trail camera data
Even low false‐positive rates in AI‐labeled camera‐trap data can bias occupancy estimates, particularly for rare species. Our results show that false positive informed occupancy models can substantially improve inference, underscoring the need to evaluate AI classifiers according to the assumptions of downstream ecological analyses.

Grazing exclusion reshaped Arctic flower‐visitor communities, increased plant‐pollinator interactions, and altered interaction networks, while nutrient enrichment had weaker, context‐dependent effects. Together the two drivers produced both independent and interactive effects, with tundra grasslands showing the greatest sensitivity to environmental ...
