Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

High-Accuracy Localization Using IEEE 802.11 WiFi Legacy Preamble

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
We explore the use of synchronization bits from a standard 802.11 preamble for high-accuracy localization. The multi-tone short training field present in 802.11 standards that use a Legacy preamble is investigated in comparison to a common remote sensing

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Improved ranging systems [PDF]

open access: yes
Spacecraft range measurements have provided the most accurate tests, to date, of some relativistic gravitational parameters, even though the measurements were made with ranging systems having error budgets of about 10 meters.

Improved Outcomes for Older Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With Neuroblastoma in the Post‐Immunotherapy Era: An Updated Report From the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.

Towards Sub-Meter Level UWB Indoor Localization Using Body Wearable Sensors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Thanks to its ability to provide sub-meter level positioning accuracy, Ultrawideband (UWB) has found wide use in several wireless body area network (WBAN) applications such as ambient assisted living, remote patient management and preventive care, among ...

Laser ranging data analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Results of the near real-time analysis of Lageos laser ranging data are reported. The data was analyzed in terms of range bias, time bias, and internal precision; and estimates for the Earth orientation parameters X sub p, Y sub p, and UT1 are obtained ...

Measuring the relativistic perigee advance with Satellite Laser Ranging

open access: yes, 2002
One of the most famous classical tests of General Relativity is the gravitoelectric secular advance of the pericenter of a test body in the gravitational field of a central mass. In this paper we explore the possibility of performing a measurement of the

Patient‐Level Barriers and Facilitators to Inpatient Physical Therapy in Adolescents and Young Adults With a Hematological Malignancy: A Qualitative Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite their increased risk for functional impairment resulting from cancer and its treatments, few adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with a hematological malignancy receive the recommended or therapeutic dose of exercise per week during inpatient hospitalizations.
