The Fusion of Elemental Sulfur With Waste Cooking Oil‐Based Derivatives: Beyond Renewability

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Lipid Science and Technology, EarlyView.
The fuse of two waste streams, elemental sulfur and waste cooking oil, is enabled by Inverse Vulcanization. The process might ensure the closed‐loop production of polymeric materials for a wide range of applications, beyond its sole potential renewability.

Mineral oil interferes with potato virus Y in aphid stylets

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 72, Issue 1, Page 170-178, January 2023., 2023
The mineral oil and the virus were visualized inside the insect's stylets and the mechanism by which the oil impacts virus acquisition seems to take place in the very early stages of acquisition. Abstract Mineral oils have been used for many decades to control the transmission of plant viruses and their ensuing epidemics.

Unconditional and conditional QTL analyses of seed fatty acid composition in Brassica napus L.

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2018
Background The fatty acid composition of B. napus’ seeds determines the oil’s nutritional and industrial values, and affects seed germination. Many studies have reported correlations among C16:0, C18:0, C18:1, C18:2 and C18:3 based on phenotypic data ...
