Including Harvested Grain Biogenic CO2 to Address a Critical Flaw in Climate Accounting
ABSTRACT The international climate accounting system excludes both the biogenic CO2 sequestered in harvested crops and the biogenic CO2 emissions that occur when grain is digested or burned as biofuel. Despite being described in the literature as a critical flaw in climate accounting all parties within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate

Plasticity model for pressing of rapeseed and rapeseed dehulled
The experiments for stress-strains and lateral pressure of rapeseed and rapeseed dehulled by uniaxial pressing were carried out. The results show that rapeseed and rapeseed dehulled conform to the model of power hardening. By using of Doraivelus yield criterion, plasticity constitutive equations were developed.

ABSTRACT Allergies are one of the major health challenges of our time, associated with a high individual burden of disease and high costs for the healthcare system. Given their prevalence, allergies are also highly relevant from a public health perspective. The development of allergic diseases is multifactorial. In addition to individual factors (e.g.,

This Commentary examines research by Wu et al. showing that β‐1,3‐glucan synthase‐like 5 (GSL5) functions as a key gene for susceptibility to clubroot in Brassica family members by suppressing immunity regulated by jasmonic acid. Inaction of GSL5 through genome editing provides broad‐spectrum resistance to clubroot.

Abstract Background Elevated low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol causes atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases. Variables of whole‐body cholesterol metabolism, for example, high cholesterol absorption efficiency, might also be atherogenic, whereas the role of bile acids is controversial.
