Glucosinolate Profile Variation of Growth Stages of Wild Radish (Raphanus raphanistrum)

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2010
Wild radish (Raphanus raphanistrum L.) produces glucosinolates (GSL), which are important for its use as a biofumigation or allelopathic plant for weed management. Total GSL concentrations and individual GSLs were quantified in different plant parts at different developmental stages.

Introgression of phenoxy herbicide resistance from Raphanus raphanistrum into Raphanus sativus

Plant Breeding, 2014
AbstractPhenoxy herbicides such as 2,4‐dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2,4‐D) and 4‐chloro‐2‐methylphenoxy acetic acid (MCPA) are selective herbicides used extensively in agriculture for weed control. Wild radish (Raphanus raphanistrum) is a problem weed across the globe and heavily infests crop fields in Australia.

Emergence and growth of hybrids between Brassica napus and Raphanus raphanistrum

New Phytologist, 2003
•  Risk assessment studies of transgenic crops have recently brought evidence of a low spontaneous hybridization frequency of Brassica napus with Raphanus raphanistrum. The fate of the first generation hybrids is crucial to determine the initial rate of spread of transgenes.

Der hederich (Raphanus Raphanistrum)

1910

Pollination thoroughness and maternal yield regulation in wild radish, Raphanus raphanistrum (Brassicaceae)

Oecologia, 1987
Under conditions where resources are limited, there are often negative correlations between components of maternal yield, or between fruit and flower production. Pollination, in turn, may vary among individuals and influence total maternal expenditure.

Allelopathic Potential of Wild Radish (Raphanus raphanistrum)1

Weed Technology, 2003
The allelopathic potential of wild radish was evaluated in controlled environments by determining if an aqueous extract from oven-dried wild radish shoots suppressed germination and radicle growth of some crops and weeds common to the southeastern United States.

Tests for major genes affecting quantitative traits in wild radish,Raphanus raphanistrum

Genetica, 1993
The number of gene loci coding for quantitative traits is an important issue in genetics. However, there are still very few empirical data on this point, especially in natural populations. I tested for major gene effects on ten quantitative traits in wild radish, using an indirect method based on the patterns of family means and within and between ...
