A rapid and sensitive method for the analysis of cyanophycin
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 2001A method has been devised for the quantitative analysis of cyanophycin, based on (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, allowing determination of the nitrogen status of cyanobacteria. Cyanophycin is extracted with minimal washing from small volumes of cells and quantified by integration of the NMR peak attributed to the protons attached to

New, rapid, and inexpensive methods that monitor the chemical composition of corn stover and corn stover—derived samples are a key element to enabling the commercialization of processes that convert stover to fuels and chemicals. These new techniques combine near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and projection to latent structures (PLS) multivariate ...

Rapid sequence analysis of small peptides
Analytical Biochemistry, 1970Abstract Small amounts of peptide material can be analyzed by a modified sequential degradation plus dansylation procedure. The method requires about 5 nanomoles per step, and is primarily designed for application to peptides of up to five or six residues.

Analysis of rapid calcium signals in synaptosomes
Neurochemistry International, 1993A combination of the stopped-flow technology with dual channel spectrofluorometry of Ca(2+)-indicators was utilized for the measurement of rapid Ca(2+)-signals in rat cerebral cortical synaptosomes evoked by K(+)-depolarization. There was no observable contribution of Ca(2+)-ions from intracellular stores to the rise in [Ca2+]i.

Rapid computer analysis of linkage data
Annals of Human Genetics, 1978SUMMARYA well tested and useful computer program for screening large amounts of pedigree data for linkage is described. All types of pedigree and genetic systems with up to six alleles present in the pedigree are allowed. An original procedure fills in uncertain genotypes and searches for internal inconsistencies in the data and is extremely ...

Computer analysis of rapid eye movements
Computer Programs in Biomedicine, 1978Simulation of the saccadic eye movement mechanism and, more recently, diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders associated with saccades rely on accurate recording and analysis of saccade characteristics. Traditionally, eye movements are monitored objectively by registering a transduced voltage correlate of eye position on a pen or cathode ray oscillograph.
