THE TECHNOLOGY OF RAPID GROWTH SMALL-CAP BANKS THROUGH MERGERS

open access: yesСтратегические решения и риск-менеджмент, 2014
Paper is devoted to the method of increasing the banks through mergers and acquisitions. We propose a specific concept of merger. It is shown that this can be obtained economically significant results, including a substantial increase in capital and ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Economic Development Impacts of Bus Rapid Transit

open access: yes, 2016
Bus rapid transit (BRT) will play an increasingly important role in the Twin Cities transit system in the future. A key aim of transit corridor investments is improving access to jobs, particularly jobs for which disadvantaged workers are likely to be ...

Crystal growth of intermetallic clathrates: Floating zone process and ultra rapid crystallization

open access: yes, 2014
We studied the crystal growth process of type-I transition metal clathrates in two different regimes: a regime of moderate cooling rate, realized with the floating zone technique, and a regime of ultra rapid cooling, realized by the melt spinning ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Finnish Deposit Banks 1980–1993: Years of Rapid Growth and Crisis [PDF]

open access: yes
This study investigates the growth of Finnish deposit banks over the period 1980–1993. We examine the growth in balance sheets, lending and deposits of the public as well as major changes in the balance sheet structure. The focus of the study is first on

Growth Accelerations (version October 2004)

open access: yes, 2004
Unlike most cross-country growth analyses, we focus on turning points in growth performance. We look for instances of rapid acceleration in economic growth that are sustained for at least eight years and identify more than 80 such episodes since the ...

Rapid growth sequences

open access: yes, 2002
Studying Fermat sequence we can simply find infinitely many other rapidly growing sequences of similar properties. On the other hand this approach allows us simple construction of such sequences.

Rapidity of Growth in Corals [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1880
THROUGH the kindness of M. Parrayon, captain of the French man-of-war Dayot, I have received a large coral of the fungia tribe, which was yesterday found attached to the bottom of his ship as the copper was being cleaned by native divers. The following is the history of the occurrence.
