Results from the 32‐week, phase 3 DISCREET study of apremilast in patients with moderate to severe genital psoriasis

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, Volume 40, Issue 2, Page 274-284, February 2026.
During the extension phase of the 32‐week DISCREET trial, apremilast treatment in patients with moderate to severe genital psoriasis led to clinically meaningful improvements in disease severity (modified genital PGA, overall sPGA, BSA), symptoms (genital itch, GPSS), and quality of life (DLQI, DLQI‐Q9), with safety outcomes consistent with prior ...

From Barns to Bushes: Exploring the ECOFF‐Based Non‐Wild‐Type Status of Campylobacter spp. in Pets, Livestock, Synanthropic Birds and Wild Animals in Northwestern Italy

open access: yesZoonoses and Public Health, Volume 73, Issue 1, Page 30-44, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a significant threat to both humans and animals. Zoonotic bacteria, such as Campylobacter, contribute to human infections and the spread of AMR, particularly through livestock, pets and wildlife. We investigated the prevalence, distribution and EUCAST ECOFF‐based wild‐type (WT) vs.

An individual‐based model to quantify the non‐breeding season impact of wind farms on seabirds

open access: yesEcological Solutions and Evidence, Volume 7, Issue 1, January/March 2026.
A novel individual‐based model to predict the impacts of offshore wind farms on seabirds during the non‐breeding season, using long‐term tracking data from SEATRACK. We demonstrate the model by simulating wind farm impacts on two Norwegian populations: common guillemots from Sklinna (sub‐lethal displacement effects) and black‐legged kittiwakes from ...

DCAF12 Ubiquitin Ligase Promotes Lung Cancer Metastasis by Modulating the TRiC/CCT Chaperonin Complex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 3, 14 January 2026.
This study elucidates how DCAF12 facilitates non‐degradative ubiquitination to stabilize TRiC/CCT, thereby enhancing the folding capacity of chaperonins. This mechanism promotes the maturation of cytoskeletal proteins and activates key oncogenic drivers, including YAP, STAT3, and mTOR, ultimately driving metastatic progression in lung cancer.
