The Influence Of Neutron Capture Rates On The Rare Earth Region Of The r-Process Abundance Pattern

open access: yes, 2012
We study the sensitivity of the r-process abundance pattern to neutron capture rates along the rare earth region (A~150 to A~180). We introduce the concepts of large nuclear flow and flow saturation which determine the neutron capture rates that are ...

Metabolomic Analysis Reveals Contributions of Citric and Citramalic Acids to Rare Earth Bioleaching by a Paecilomyces Fungus. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Conventional methods for extracting rare earth elements from monazite ore require high energy inputs and produce environmentally damaging waste streams. Bioleaching offers a potentially more environmentally friendly alternative extraction process.

Research on the water migration law in ion-adsorbed rare earth ores based on the high-density resistivity method

open access: yesScientific Reports
High-intensity liquid injection is a key factor influencing the deformation and instability of slopes in ion-adsorbed rare earth ores. Current research on water migration in slopes primarily relies on point-to-point monitoring using sensors, which limits

Stuffed Rare-Earth Garnets

open access: yesInorganic Chemistry, 2023
We report the synthesis and magnetic characterization of stuffed rare earth gallium garnets, RE3+xGa5-xO12 (RE=Lu, Yb, Er, Dy, Gd), for x up to 0.5. The excess rare earth ions partly fill the octahedral sites normally fully occupied by Ga3+, forming disordered pairs of corner-shared face-sharing magnetic tetrahedra.

Germline TP53 Mutations Causing Diamond–Blackfan Anemia: A French Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diamond–Blackfan anemia is a rare congenital erythroblastopenia typically caused by mutations in ribosomal protein genes. Recently, gain‐of‐function mutations in TP53 have been identified as a novel cause of Diamond–Blackfan anemia. We report two French patients who both harbored a heterozygous TP53 deletion (NM_000546.5: c.1077delA; p ...
