K± → π± π0 e+ e− decay width calculation in the lepton center-of-mass system

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
We consider the rare decay K± → π± π0 e+ e− currently under analysis by the NA62 Collaboration. A new theoretical approach for the differential decay width has been performed.

Rare beauty and charm decays at LHCb

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
Rare heavy flavor decays are an ideal place to search for the effects of potential new particles that modify the decay rates or the Lorentz structure of the decay vertices. The LHCb experiment, a dedicated heavy flavour experiment at the LHC at CERN.

Rare kaon decays [PDF]

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Physique, 2020
The article reviews the status of rare K decay physics. The explored area covers a broad program, ranging from precise tests of flavour theory and CP-violation to the searches for explicit violations of the standard model and the study of strong interactions at low energies.

Rare Decays at LHCb

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
Rare decays of beauty and charm hadrons provide an effective method of testing the Standard Model and probing possible new physics scenarios. The LHCb experiment has published a variety of interesting results in this field, some of which are presented ...

To understand the rare decay Bs→π+π−ℓ+ℓ−

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
Motivated by the LHCb measurement, we analyze the Bs→π+π−ℓ+ℓ− decay in the kinematics region where the pion pairs have invariant masses in the range 0.5–1.3 GeV and muon pairs do not originate from a resonance.

Axion-Like Particles at the ILC Giga-Z

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Axion-Like Particles (ALPs) are a generic, calculable, and well motivated extension of the Standard Model with far reaching phenomenology. ALPs that couple only to hypercharge represent one subset of such models, coupling the ALP to both photons and the ...

Rare kaon decays revisited

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2004
We present an updated discussion of $K\ra \bar{l} l$ decays in a combined framework of chiral perturbation theory and Large--$N_c$ QCD, which assumes the dominance of a minimal narrow resonance structure in the invariant mass dependence of the $ \bar{l} l$ pair.

Precision measurements with kaon and pion decays at CERN [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
The NA62 measurement of the branching ratio and the di-photon mass spectrum of the K+ → π+γγ decay is presented, together with a preliminary result on the branching fraction of the rare decay π0 → e+e−.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Study of the rare decay K±→π±γγ

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
The NA62 and NA48/2 experiments at CERN collected a large sample of charged kaon decays with a low intensity beam and minimum bias trigger conditions in 2004 (NA48/2) and 2007 (NA62).
