Rare charm decays

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2014
Rare charm decays offer the possibility to search for signals beyond Standard Model in the up-quark sector. CP conserving and CP violating contributions within the Standard Model and beyond are reviewed for inclusive c → uγ and c → ul+l− and exclusive D → Vγ, D → P(V)l+l− and D → l+l− decays.

Search for the charmonium weak decays J / ψ → D s − ρ + + c . c . $$ J/\psi \to {D}_s^{-}{\rho}^{+}+\textrm{c}.\textrm{c}. $$ and J / ψ → D s − π + + c . c . $$ J/\psi \to {D}_s^{-}{\pi}^{+}+\textrm{c}.\textrm{c}. $$

Based on (10087 ± 44) × 106 J/ψ events recorded with the BESIII detector, we search for the rare charmonium weak decays J / ψ → D s − ρ + + c . c . $$ J/\psi \to {D}_s^{-}{\rho}^{+}+\textrm{c}.\textrm{c}. $$ and J / ψ → D s − π + + c . c . $$ J/\psi \to {

Competition of β-delayed protons and β-delayed γ rays in 56Zn and the exotic β-delayed γ-proton decay

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Remarkable results have been published recently on the β decay of 56Zn. In particular, the rare and exotic β-delayed γ-proton emission has been detected for the first time in the fp shell. Here we focus the discussion on this exotic decay mode and on the

Study of the rare decay J/ψ → μ + μ − μ + μ −

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The rare electromagnetic J/ψ → μ + μ − μ + μ − decay is observed with a significance greatly exceeding the discovery threshold, using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment during 2016–2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV ...

Rare Kaon Decays

open access: yes, 2011
Rare Kaon decays provide sensitive probes of short distance physics. Among the most promising modes are the K+ --> pi+ nu anti-nu and K(L) --> pi0 nu anti-nu modes due to their theoretical cleanness and the dedicated experiments, NA62 and KOTO. The key to the success of New Physics searches in these modes is the precision in the standard model ...

Observation of the K + → π + ν ν ¯ $$ {K}^{+}\to {\pi}^{+}\nu \overline{\nu} $$ decay and measurement of its branching ratio

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
A measurement of the K + → π + ν ν ¯ $$ {K}^{+}\to {\pi}^{+}\nu \overline{\nu} $$ decay by the NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is presented, using data collected in 2021 and 2022.
