Review of rare and forbidden τ decays [PDF]
This is a review of rare and forbidden decays of the $τ$ lepton. For the rare decays, this includes new results on the chiral anomaly decay $\taupietapio$, new upper limits on the second-class-current decay $\taupieta$, and the observations of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay $\tauketa$ and the internal conversion decay $\taueee$. For the forbidden decays,

Measurement of two-neutrino double electron capture half-life of 124Xe with PandaX-4T
Detailed studies of two-neutrino double electron capture (2νDEC) is a crucial step towards searching for the neutrinoless mode to explore the Majorana nature of neutrinos.

A REVIEW OF RARE PION AND MUON DECAYS [PDF]
After a decade of no measurements of pion and muon rare decays, PIBETA, a new experimental program is producing its first results. We report on a new experimental study of the pion beta decay, π+→π0e+ν, the πe2γ radiative decay, π+→e+νγ, and muon radiative decay, [Formula: see text].

Beyond the Standard Model prospects for kaon physics at future experiments
Rare kaon decays offer a powerful tool for investigating new physics in s → d transitions. Currently, many of the interesting decay modes are either measured with rather large uncertainties compared to their theoretical predictions or have not yet been ...

Space–time evolution of heavy sterile neutrinos in cascade decays
Heavy sterile-like neutrinos may be produced resonantly from the decay of pseudoscalar mesons and may decay into several different channels in a cascade Φ→Lανh; νh→{X}. In general these are rare events with displaced vertices.

New high precision study on the decay width of the Hoyle state in 12C
Precise estimation of the rare direct 3α decay of the Hoyle state of 12C has been made to unveil its unusual α-cluster configurations ranging from linear 3α chain structure to diffuse Bose gas as well as Bose Einstein condensate.

Search for K+ → π+νν̄ at the NA62 experiment
Looking for phenomena beyond the Standard Model (SM) in rare decays is a complementary approach to direct searches for New Physics (NP) at colliders. One of the theoretically cleanest processes is the ultra rare decay K+ → π+νν̄.

The long-term goal of NA62 is to measure the ultra rare K+/- -> pi+/- nu anti-nu decay with a sensitivity of 10^-12 per event. This is done by using the decay - in - flight technique which allows a signal acceptance of ~10% . The aim is to collect about 100 signal events in two years of data taking with a background to signal ratio smaller than 10%.

B meson rare decays in the TNMSSM*
Abstract We investigate the two loop electroweak corrections to B meson rare decays and in the minimal supersymmetry standard model (MSSM) extension with two triplets and one singlet (TNMSSM).
