Advances in Magnesium‐Based Thermoelectrics: A Critical Review

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnesium‐based thermoelectric materials have emerged as promising candidates for low‐to‐mid‐temperature energy conversion due to their abundance, low cost, and competitive performance. This review summarizes recent advances in Mg3X2, MgAgSb, and Mg2X systems, covering transport mechanisms, fabrication strategies, stability challenges, and device ...

Ultrathin Li Metal Anodes: Quantitative Design Principles and Manufacturability Across Liquid and Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin lithium metal anodes (≤15 µm) offer a promising route to high‐energy‐density batteries due to their high capacity and low potential. This review presents design principles for ultrathin Li, evaluates fabrication strategies, and discusses challenges in liquid and solid‐state cells.

Rare Decays in LHCb

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
The rare B decays B(s)0 → μ+μ−, B0 → K*0μ+μ− and Bs0 → φγ are studied using up to ~ 0.41 fb−1 of pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment in 2010 and 2011. A search for the decays B(s)0 → μ+μ− is performed with 0.41 fb−1.

Atomic Layer Deposition of Metallic Molybdenum Dioxide Thin Films Enabling High‐k Rutile Capacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The first direct atomic layer deposition (ALD) process of molybdenum dioxide (MoO2) thin films is reported using molybdenum(II) acetate dimer (Mo2(OAc)4) and oxygen (O2) as precursors at 235°C–275°C. The films are crystalline, exceptionally pure, and conductive.

Missing energy plus jet in the SMEFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the production of dineutrinos in proton-proton collisions, with large missing transverse energy and an energetic jet as the experimental signature.

CERN-SPSC-2004-010 SPSC-EOI-002 16.04.2004 Expression of Interest to Measure

open access: yes, 2008
this document is to outline our ideas in view of the upcoming Villars meeting which will take place in September. We are performing a feasibility study for an experiment able to collect about 50 K ## events with a signal to background ratio of 10:1 ...

Time‐Resolved Simultaneous Mapping of Thickness and Nanoparticle Concentration in Nanofluid Thin Films via Imaging Ellipsometry and Deep‐UV Reflectance Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study establishes a dual‐channel optical metrology framework integrating phase‐shifting imaging ellipsometry and deep‐UV reflectance imaging. This label‐free approach enables simultaneous, time‐resolved mapping of film thickness and nanoparticle (NP) concentration in dynamic nanofluid thin films.
