Non-leptonic B-decays in and beyond QCD factorisation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This thesis examines the non-leptonic B-decays within QCD factorization and beyond, to challenge the assumptions and limitations of the method. We analyse the treatment of the distribution amplitudes of light mesons and present a new model described by ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Investigating non-local contributions in B s → ϕ ℓ ¯ ℓ $$ {B}_s\to \phi \overline{\ell}\ell $$ including higher-twist effects

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We analyze the impact of higher-twist three-particle B s -meson light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) on the non-local form factors for the B s → ϕ ℓ ¯ ℓ $$ {B}_s\to \phi \overline{\ell}\ell $$ transition focusing on the ‘charm-loop’ contribution ...

Rare K decays in the standard model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The very clean theoretical predictions for the rare decays K --> pi nu nu_bar and KL --> pi0 l+ l- are reviewed, and their various theoretical inputs summarized.

Rare heavy-flavour decays

open access: yes, 2021
The search and study of rare decays of B hadrons and of the $\tau$ lepton are among the most promising approaches of putting the Standard Model of particle physics to the test.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Inclusive B ¯ → X s ℓ + ℓ − $$ \overline{B}\to {X}_s{\ell}^{+}{\ell}^{-} $$ at the LHC: theory predictions and new-physics reach

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We present theoretical predictions for observables in inclusive B ¯ → X s ℓ + ℓ − $$ \overline{B}\to {X}_s{\ell}^{+}{\ell}^{-} $$ suitable for measurements at hadron colliders through a sum-over-exclusive approach.

Search for the Higgs boson decays to a ρ0, ϕ, or K⁎0 meson and a photon in proton-proton collisions at s=13TeV

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
Three rare decay processes of the Higgs boson to a ρ(770)0, ϕ(1020), or K⁎(892)0 meson and a photon are searched for using s=13TeV proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC. Events are selected assuming the mesons decay into

Rare decays of b hadrons

open access: yesScholarpedia, 2016
Rare decays of b hadrons provide a powerful way of identifying contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model, in particular from new hypothetical particles too heavy to be produced at colliders. The most relevant experimental measurements are reviewed and possible interpretations are briefly discussed.
