Marginal gap of printed, milled, and heat‐pressed two‐piece polyetheretherketone abutments before and after thermal cycling, and their pull‐off bond strength after thermal cycling

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the marginal gap of two‐piece polyetheretherketone (PEEK) abutments fabricated with different methods, before and after thermal cycling, while also focusing on their pull‐off bond strength. Materials and Methods A two‐piece abutment was virtually designed after digitizing a titanium‐base (Ti‐base) abutment.

Tension bending ratcheting tests of 304 stainless steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This paper discusses results of an experimental program conducted to investigate the strain ratcheting behavior of 304 stainless steel under various combinations of applied membrane load and displacement controlled cyclic bending strain.

Chain‐Length Regulation by WzzE Is Necessary for, but Genetically Separable From, Cyclic Enterobacterial Common Antigen Synthesis

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that polysaccharide chain length regulation plays a distinct role in enabling formation of a cyclic molecule important for the bacterial cell surface. However, this function is necessary, but not sufficient for the cyclic molecule's biosynthesis.

Ratcheting and ratcheting-creep interaction in A356 aluminium alloy

open access: yes, 2018
In automobile sectors, particularly inner turbo frame, engine blocks, pistons etc. and in aerospace industries the components like pistons, brackets, pulleys, wheels etc. are fabricated from the cast A356 aluminium alloy.

Testing the Assumptions of History‐Dependent Approaches to Regulation: Comparing Compliant Companies With Those That Transgress

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Risk‐based approaches to regulatory governance are ubiquitous. One aspect of such approaches suggests regulators direct their attention towards companies that have already violated regulations. However, such approaches have made little use of available data to explore these companies, especially compared to companies that do not transgress ...

Ratcheting behaviour of aluminum under cyclic axial load

open access: yes, 2009
Access is limited to UniMAP community. An experiment about uniaxial ratcheting of Aluminum was investigated and particular attention was paid to ratcheting behavior under different cyclic loading.

Corporate Power in a Multistakeholder World: Venue Hopping and the Multilevel Politics of Ultra‐Processed Food

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The regulation of business is increasingly characterized by “soft” governance regimes that blur the boundaries of public and private authority, as signaled by the rapid proliferation of multistakeholder initiatives in global governance. This article explores how the spread of multistakeholderism creates opportunities for new forms of strategic

Powers and Practices in Labor Standards Enforcement

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wage theft remains a pervasive problem internationally and within the United States. In response, worker advocates have sought stronger laws to deter violations and promote compliance. Yet formal authority alone may be insufficient; labor departments often fail to use the full extent of their legal authority to conduct vigorous enforcement ...
