On the analysis of rates of behaviour

Animal Behaviour, 1977
Formulas are developed for calculating the expected frequency of behaviour and of social interactions in each age-sex category or other class, particularly when the study population changes composition during the study, given the null hypothesis either of constant but unknown rates of behaviour that are independent of class, or of class-specific rates ...

Rate analysis for embedded systems

ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems, 1998
Embedded systems consist of interacting components that are required to deliver a specific functionality under constraints on execution rates and relative time separation of the components. In this article, we model an embedded system using concurrent processes interacting through synchronization.

Comparative analysis of two rates

Statistics in Medicine, 1985
AbstractIn this paper, we examine comparative analysis of rates with a view to each of the usual comparative parameters‐rate difference (RD), rate ratio (RR) and odds ratio (OR)‐and with particular reference to first principles. For RD and RR we show the prevailing statistical practices to be rather poor. We stress the need for restricted estimation of

Heart rate analysis with NevroEkg

2016 39th International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics (MIPRO), 2016
NevroEkg is a computer application for analysis of ECG and related bio-signals, such as breathing and blood pressure. It was made in collaboration between computer scientists, engineers and neurocardiologists. Recently, it has been modified to also support the unconventional measurements of differential ECG, made on wireless wearable gadgets.

Fuzzy Analysis of Students’ Ratings

Evaluation Review, 2016
Background: Intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFS) represent a methodology for quantifying latent variables in questionnaire analysis through membership and non-membership functions, which are linked by an uncertainty function. Objectives: We

ANALYSIS OF PREMATURE MORTALITY RATES

Pediatrics, 1950
During the years of 1941 to 1946, 2,910 premature infants were admitted to the Premature Station of the Children's Division of Cook County Hospital. Of this number 17.9% died. The influence of birth weight on survival rate was demonstrated. There were more female premature infants than males (1.23:1).

An Analysis of Heart Rate Variability

Ergonomics, 1973
Proceeding from a formal definition of heart rate variability, some mathematical and statistical techniques from sampling statistics and time series analysis for the analytical evaluation of heart rate variability for ergonomics purposes are presented and compared. The concept of sampling statistics gives a measure of heart rate variability, arrived at
