Review Comment Analysis for Predicting Ratings
2015Rating prediction is a common task in recommendation systems that aims to predict a rating representing the opinion from a user to an item. In this paper, we propose a comment-based collaborative filtering (CCF) approach that captures correlations between hidden aspects in review comments and numeric ratings.

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2014
This research effort developed transportation rates ($/net ton) from origin to destination—including transfer and handling fees—for a non–statistically significant sample of 200 waterborne movements and their alternative least-cost all-overland routings (i.e., rail, truck, or both).

In Chapter 2, expressions were derived for the rates of the reactions given by the general stoichiometric equations, Eqs. (2.19)–(2.21). Intracellular representatives for substrates and metabolic products were introduced in order to emphasize the central role of the cell as the chemical reactor wherein the reactions take place. Thus Eq.

While our main study is Bayesian in character, we want also to see how a more traditional approach handles problems of discrimination. Some readers may prefer such an analysis, and many will wish to compare the results achieved by the two methods.
