The rate and potential of capability development trajectories [PDF]

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, 2013
This paper examines differences in the rate and potential of firms' capability development trajectories. Capability development trajectories are the paths over which firms' capabilities change with experience and other activities. While prior research focused on factors affecting capability development rate (the fraction of the gap

Improving rate capability of Resistive Plate Chambers [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Instrumentation, 2016
The High Luminosity phase of Large Hadron Collider, foreseen to start in less then ten years from now, has triggered the development of a new generation of gaseous detectors with much improved performance with respect to the present ones. For what concerns Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs), research is focusing on the methods to increase their rate ...

Spatial resolution and rate capability of MICROMEGAS detector [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2001
Abstract We report on recent measurements of MICROMEGAS: spatial resolution and rate capability. The spatial resolution has been studied using several gas mixtures at the CERN PS test beam. With a gas filling of CF4 and 20% isobutane, an accuracy of 12 μm has been measured at normal incidence.

Homeostatic capability of rate-sensitive feedback system: mathematical model [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology, 1984
We have predicted the mathematical model of rate-sensitive feedback control system and have investigated its homeostatic capability by using computer simulations. The results are summarized as follows. By installing a cyclic enzyme system as feedback control element, we could assume the rate-sensitive feedback system at molecular level.
