Spatiotemporal complexity of a ratio-dependent predator-prey system
In this paper, we investigate the emergence of a ratio-dependent predator-prey system with Michaelis-Menten-type functional response and reaction-diffusion. We derive the conditions for Hopf, Turing and Wave bifurcation on a spatial domain.

Data Detection and Code Channel Allocation for Frequency-Domain Spread ACO-OFDM Systems Over Indoor Diffuse Wireless Channels [PDF]
Future optical wireless communication systems promise to provide high-speed data transmission in indoor diffuse environments. This paper considers frequency-domain spread asymmetrically clipped optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (ACOOFDM)

ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

A novel variable force ratio test system for force measurement
It is an important guarantee to precisely measure multi-dimensional force vector with variable directions. In this article, variable force ratio (force ratio is a concept of a ratio of maximum force over minimum force) test system based on piezoelectric ...

Inpatient Food Insecurity and Pediatric Hematology Oncology Hospitalization Outcomes
ABSTRACT Children with cancer and blood disorders are at risk for food insecurity (FI). We aimed to describe the association of inpatient food insecurity (IFI) and hospitalization outcomes among patients admitted to the pediatric hematology oncology service. Of 325 caregivers screened for IFI, 60 (18.6%) screened positive.

Hybrid Energy Ratio Allocation Algorithm in a Multi-Base-Station Collaboration System
Network densification in the 5G system causes a sharp increase in system energy consumption, a development which not only increases operating cost but also carbon emission. With the development of smart power grids, multi-source energy supply and time-of-

Magnetic resonance T1w/T2w ratio and voxel-based morphometry in multiple system atrophy
Diagnosis of multiple system atrophy (MSA) may be improved by using multimodal imaging approaches. We investigated the use of T1-weighted/T2-weighted (T1w/T2w) images ratio combined with voxel-based morphometry to evaluate brain tissue integrity in MSA ...

The Deuterium to Hydrogen Abundance Ratio Towards a Fourth QSO: HS0105+1619 [PDF]
We report the measurement of the primordial D/H abundance ratio towards QSO \object. The column density of the hydrogen in the $z \simeq 2.536$ Lyman limit system is high, \lnhi $= 19.422 \pm 0.009$ \cmm, allowing for the deuterium to be seen in 5 Lyman ...

Bounds for the variational ratio of arbitrary linear systems [PDF]
Melese-d’Hospital and Wilkins have recently found bounds for the error involved in replacing the maximum temperature in some geometrically simple regions, containing a nonuniformly distributed heat source, by the maximum temperature in the same region containing a uniform heat source.

ABSTRACT Purpose Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors often recur despite multimodality therapy. Although re‐irradiation (re‐RT) has historically been limited by concerns for severe late toxicities, modern techniques have renewed interest in this approach. Proton therapy provides dosimetric advantages that may enable curative re‐treatment with
