Sum of Squares Decompositions of Polynomials over their Gradient Ideals with Rational Coefficients
Assessing non-negativity of multivariate polynomials over the reals, through the computation of {\em certificates of non-negativity}, is a topical issue in polynomial optimization. This is usually tackled through the computation of {\em sums-of-squares decompositions} which rely on efficient numerical solvers for semi-definite programming.

RPC STEREO PROCESSOR (RSP) – A SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR DIGITAL SURFACE MODEL AND ORTHOPHOTO GENERATION FROM SATELLITE STEREO IMAGERY [PDF]
Large-scale Digital Surface Models (DSM) are very useful for many geoscience and urban applications. Recently developed dense image matching methods have popularized the use of image-based very high resolution DSM.

Diverse analytical wave solutions of plasma physics and water wave equations
In plasma physics and water waves, the Gilson-Pickering equation is an important unidirectional wave propagation model. A large number of analytic wave solutions have been established in the form of hyperbolic, trigonometric, exponential, and rational ...

Asymptotics of lattice walks via analytic combinatorics in several variables [PDF]
We consider the enumeration of walks on the two-dimensional non-negative integer lattice with steps defined by a finite set S ⊆ {±1, 0}2 . Up to isomorphism there are 79 unique two-dimensional models to consider, and previous work in this area has used ...

IMPROVING THE ACCURACY OF ESTIMATED 3D POSITIONS USING MULTI-TEMPORAL ALOS/PRISM TRIPLET IMAGES [PDF]
In this paper, we present a method to improve the accuracy of a digital surface model (DSM) by utilizing multi-temporal triplet images. The Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) / Panchromatic Remote-sensing Instrument for Stereo Mapping (PRISM ...

Computation of the Highest Coefficients of Weighted Ehrhart Quasi-polynomials of Rational Polyhedra [PDF]
This article concerns the computational problem of counting the lattice points inside convex polytopes, when each point must be counted with a weight associated to it. We describe an efficient algorithm for computing the highest degree coefficients of the weighted Ehrhart quasi-polynomial for a rational simple polytope in varying dimension, when the ...
