An inequality for polynomials with positive coefficients and applications in rational approximation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Inequalities, 2008
We extend an inequality of Leviatan and Lubinsky ((3: Theorem 3.1)) to polynomials with positive coefficients. Two applications in approximation by rational functions with pre- scribed numerators are given.

A Study on Rational Function Model Generation for TerraSAR-X Imagery

open access: yesSensors, 2013
The Rational Function Model (RFM) has been widely used as an alternative to rigorous sensor models of high-resolution optical imagery in photogrammetry and remote sensing geometric processing.

Effects of a Water-Glass Module on Compressive Strength, Size Effect and Stress–Strain Behavior of Geopolymer Recycled Aggregate Concrete

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
Geopolymer recycled aggregate concrete (GRAC) was prepared by replacing cement with geopolymer and natural aggregate with waste concrete. The effect of the water-glass module on the mechanical properties of GRAC was studied. It was found that water-glass

Block Adjustment without GCPs for Chinese Spaceborne SAR GF-3 Imagery

open access: yesSensors, 2018
The Gaofen-3 (GF-3) satellite is the first C-band multi-polarization synthetic aperture radar (SAR) with the ability of high-accuracy mapping in China. However, the Ground Control Points (GCPs) are essential to ensure the accuracy of mapping for GF-3 SAR

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

THE RATIONAL POLYNOMIAL COEFFICIENTS MODIFICATION USING DIGITAL ELEVATION MODELS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2015
Abstract. The high-resolution satellite imageries (HRSI) are as primary dataset for different applications such as DEM generation, 3D city mapping, change detection, monitoring, and deformation detection. The geo-location information of HRSI are stored in metadata called Rational Polynomial Coefficients (RPCs).

Machine Learning Accelerated Computational Design of Bio‐Inspired Catalysts in the Nitrogen Reduction Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a computational workflow that combines quantum chemical calculations and machine learning techniques to predict the catalytic performance of a wide range of catalysts in the nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR). The analysis of the trained models provides insights into the complex structure–activity relationship in experimental catalytic ...

Analysing Effects of Birth Order on Intelligence, Educational Attainment, Big Five, and Risk Aversion in an Indonesian Sample

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Personality, EarlyView., 2020
Abstract Few studies have examined birth order effects on personality in countries that are not Western, educated, industrialized, rich, and democratic (WEIRD). However, theories have generally suggested that interculturally universal family dynamics are the mechanism behind birth order effects, and prominent theories such as resource dilution would ...
