A Coble surface is a smooth rational projective surface such that its anti-canonical linear system is empty while the anti-bicanonical linear system is nonempty. In this paper we shall classify Coble surfaces and consider the finiteness problem of the number of negative rational curves on it modulo automorphisms.

Rational surfaces with linear normals and their convolutions with rational surfaces [PDF]
The authors discuss geometric properties of polynomial (or rational) parametrized surfaces with linear fields of normal vectors. It is shown that these are projectively dual to graphs of bivariate polynomials (or rational functions). This dual representation is applied to prove that the convolution of rational surfaces with linear normal vector fields ...

A phantom on a rational surface
AbstractWe construct a non-full exceptional collection of maximal length consisting of line bundles on the blow-up of the projective plane in 10 general points. As a consequence, the orthogonal complement of this collection is a universal phantom category. This provides a counterexample to a conjecture of Kuznetsov and to a conjecture of Orlov.

Blending Cylinders and Cones using Canal Surfaces
There is reviewed the construction of a rational blending surface between cylinders and cones in some interlocation cases. This surface is constructed as a patch of rolling ball envelope, i.e.

Rational Generalized Offsets of Rational Surfaces [PDF]
The rational surfaces and their offsets are commonly used in modeling and manufacturing. The purpose of this paper is to present relationships between rational surfaces and orientation‐preserving similarities of the Euclidean 3‐space. A notion of a similarity surface offset is introduced and applied to different constructions of rational generalized ...
