A new hybrid geometrical optics and radiance based scattering model for ray tracing applications [PDF]
This paper presents a new hybrid geometrical optics (GO) and radiance based rough surface scattering model for use in ray tracing propagation models. The reflectance model includes the effects of both specular and diffuse reflection.

Interactive SIMD ray tracing for large deformable tetrahedral meshes
S.147-154We introduce an interactive ray tracing method for large deformable tetrahedral meshes which has carefully been designed for supporting general single instruction multiple data (SIMD) operations.

A new heuristic geometrical approach for finding non-coplanar multiple edge diffraction ray paths [PDF]
Rooftop diffraction can contribute significantly to the propagation path loss in outdoor microcellular environments. For non-coplanar multiple edges, the finding of exact ray paths requires a complex algebraic analysis that is infeasible for rapid ...

Fast ray tracing by ray classification [PDF]
We describe a new approach to ray tracing which drastically reduces the number of ray-object and ray-bounds intersection calculations by means of 5-dimensional space subdivision. Collections of rays originating from a common 3D rectangular volume and directed through a 2D solid angle are represented as hypercubes in 5-space.

Comparison of Phase Space and Quasi-Monte Carlo Ray Tracing for the 3D Compound Parabolic Concentrator [PDF]
Phase space ray tracing is an alternative to (Quasi-)Monte Carlo ray tracing in 2D. We introduce a 3D phase space algorithm and apply it to the compound parabolic concentrator.

Dynamic Low-sampling Ambient Occlusion Real-time Ray Tracing for Molecular Rendering [PDF]
High-quality rendering in molecular visualization are particularly important for researchers to observe the structure of biomolecules. The rasterization rendering effect commonly used by mainstream molecular visualization tools is not good.Advanced ray ...

Application of ionospheric tomography for high frequency oblique incidence ray tracing
Recognizing the applicability of tomographic imaging in the ionosphere, the reconstruction method has been applied to generate more realistic low latitude ionospheric background based on the Ionex TEC data and also direct measurement TEC data over West ...

Fast holographic generation technology depends on the swift creation of computer-generated holograms (CGHs). Currently, the fast generation method of computer-generated holograms based on ray tracing is still based on non-physical ray tracing methods ...

We examine a rendering system that interactively ray traces an image on a conventional multiprocessor. The implementation is "brute force" in that it explicitly traces rays through every screen pixel, yet pays careful attention to system resources for acceleration.

RAY TRACING RENDER MENGGUNAKAN FRAGMENT ANTI ALIASING
Rendering is generating surface and three-dimensional effects on an object displayed on a monitor screen. Ray tracing as a rendering method that traces ray for each image pixel has a drawback, that is, aliasing (jaggies effect). There are some methods
