Path Loss Exponent and Shadowing Factor Prediction From Satellite Images Using Deep Learning
Optimal network planning for wireless communication systems requires the detailed knowledge of the channel parameters of the target coverage area. Channel parameters can be estimated through extensive measurements in the environment.

This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

Simple and Exact Closed-Form Expression for Determination of a Penetrated Ray Path in a Ray Tracing
A simple and exact closed-form equation to determine a penetrated ray path in a ray tracing is proposed for an accurate channel prediction in indoor environments. Whereas the penetrated ray path in a conventional ray tracing is treated as a straight line

Computation and analysis of backward ray-tracing in aero-optics flow fields.
A backward ray-tracing method is proposed for aero-optics simulation. Different from forward tracing, the backward tracing direction is from the internal sensor to the distant target.

Ray tracing parametric patches [PDF]
This paper describes an algorithm that uses ray tracing techniques to display bivariate polynomial surface patches. A new intersection algorithm is developed which uses ideas from algebraic geometry to obtain a numerical procedure for finding the intersection of a ray and a patch without subdivision.
