ABSTRACT A common paradigm in behavioral neuroscience involves recording neural activity from freely moving rodents as they forage in an open field. This procedure is often used in studies investigating spatial navigation, where recording is conducted in regions such as the hippocampus and entorhinal cortex.

A Practical Guide to Studying Magnetic Alignment of Free‐Living Animals: Lessons From Leopards
We show that spatial autocorrelation in circular data can be detected and provide guidelines how to avoid such issues in magnetic alignment field studies. ABSTRACT Spontaneous magnetic alignment describes the tendency of animals to preferentially orient their major body axis in a non‐random alignment relative to the magnetic field.

Abstract Lightning initiation depends on the charge separation within the mixed‐phase areas of convective clouds, where graupel, ice, and supercooled water interact. However, the specific mixed‐phase structures that enhance charge separation remain unclear.

Abstract Doppler frequency shifts (DFSs) recorded by continuous wave‐high frequency Doppler sounding systems and ionograms observed by five ionosondes in Taiwan and Japan are used to study three‐dimensionally seismo‐ and tsunami‐traveling ionospheric disturbances (STIDs and TTIDs) triggered by the 29 July 2025 Mw8.8 Kamchatka earthquake.

Abstract North–south‐trending rifts in southern Tibet record E–W extension within the Tibetan Plateau, closely linked to high gravitational potential energy from collisional thickening and northward underthrusting of the Indian lower crust. To reveal how basal shear is transmitted upward and controls rifting, we use ambient noise adjoint tomography ...
