Improved Markov model for Rayleigh fading envelope
An improved Markov model for Rayleigh fading is proposed. Such a system considers both the amplitude and the speed of the fading envelope which jointly represent the Markov state. By properly selecting the state space size, proper fitting between the proposed system and Jakes' Rayleigh fading simulator has been obtained.

Compensating for Channel Fading in DS-CDMA Communication Systems Employing ICA Neural Network Detectors [PDF]
In this paper we examine the impact of channel fading on the bit error rate of a DS-CDMA communication system. The system employs detectors that incorporate neural networks effecting methods of independent component analysis (ICA), subspace estimation of

Frequency Estimation in Multipath Rayleigh-Sparse-Fading Channels [PDF]
Maximum-likelihood (ML) data-aided frequency estimation in multipath Rayleigh-fading channels with sparse impulse responses is investigated. We solve this problem under the assumption that the autocorrelation matrix of the pilot signal can be approximated by a diagonal matrix, the fading of different path amplitudes are independent from each other, and

In digital communication systems, their fading and noise in the channel will disrupt or degrade the performance of a digital communication system. Where this disorder, can cause the error detection signal, so as to change bits or symbols at the receiver

Energy-Efficient Index Modulation With In-Phase/Quadrature Format in the Generalized Fading Channel
Dual-mode (DM) or multi-mode (MM) index modulation (IM) techniques with the in-phase/quadrature (IQ) format have been investigated for improving the performance of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with IM (OFDM-IM) system in the frequency ...

Level Crossing Rate and Average Fade Duration of the Multihop Rayleigh Fading Channel
We present a novel analytical framework for the evaluation of important second order statistical parameters, as the level crossing rate (LCR) and the average fade duration (AFD) of the amplify-and-forward multihop Rayleigh fading channel.

Two new sum-of-sinusoids-based methods for the efficient generation of multiple uncorrelated rayleigh fading waveforms [PDF]
This paper deals with the design of a set of multiple uncorrelated Rayleigh fading waveforms. The Rayleigh fading waveforms are mutually uncorrelated, but each waveform is correlated in time.
