Studies on tin centres in RbCl crystals

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1978
Absorption spectra of RbCl:Sn crystals are studied and all the A,B,C, and D bands corresponding to those with ns2 outer electronic configuration are found. The changes produced upon irradiation with X-rays and on additive and electrolytic coloration are studied.

Vacancy Dynamics in Molten RbCl

Physics and Chemistry of Liquids, 1989
Abstract A method has been developed for the study of vacancy dynamics in molecular dynamics simulations of either liquids or solids. This has been applied to the case of molten RbCl to show that vacancies may be considered to exist in the liquid state using either static or dynamic criteria, but that these do not represent a significant proportion of ...

On the RbClCdCl2 system

Materials Research Bulletin, 1973
Abstract The RbClCdCl 2 phase diagram was re-examined and new data on the sub-solidus behaviour were collected. The tetragonal-cubic transition occurs reversibly at 114 ± 2°C. An anomalous polymorphism of RbCdCl 3 is influenced by the presence of water which favours the formation of an orthorhombic phase at room temperature.

Hydration of ions in aqueous RbCl solutions

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2007
Structural studies have been carried out on aqueous rubidium chloride solutions at three concentrations. Particle configurations consistent with neutron and x-ray diffraction data were obtained by reverse Monte Carlo modelling. By applying several coordination constraints, the generally accepted concept concerning the hydration of chloride ions could ...

Complex Centres in Additively Coloured RbCl: Li+

physica status solidi (b), 1989
AbstractComplex colour centres in RbCl and RbCl:Li+ are extensively studied. (F2)A centres, never observed so far in this system, are formed and their optical absorption and emission determined. The kinetics of the equilibria among aggregate and associate defects are investigated in order to obtain the highest concentration of (F2)A centres.

The double salt RbCl · NiCl2 · 2H2O

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1989
Abstract A study of the RbClNiCl 2 H 2 O system revealed the existence of the double salt RbCl · NiCl 2 · 2H 2 O at 50 and 75°C. In the temperature range 25–75°C the congruently soluble salt is 2RbCl · NiCl 2 · 2H 2 O. The salt RbCl · NiCl 2 · 2H 2 O does not appear at 25°C.

X-ray photoemission measurements of RbCl

Physics Letters A, 1973
Abstract The binding energy of the electronic core levels of RbCl were determined by X-ray induced photoemission measurements. The effects of a surface charge are accounted for.
