ABSTRACT The circular economy is gaining traction as a transformative approach to address climate change and the shortcomings of the linear economic model, which is defined by unsustainable production and consumption patterns. This study explores the implementation of circularity principles in the Spanish automotive industry, with particular attention ...

Dynamic cracking properties and generating conditions of coal under rapid gas release
Gas release tests revealed that crack initiation and propagation are jointly controlled by initial crack length, residual strength, and gas release velocity. A new outburst risk coefficient was thus developed from a fracture mechanics perspective, offering a novel predictive approach.

Optimization of Reinforcement of RC Framed Structures
This paper presents the entire formulation of longitudinal reinforcement minimization in a concrete structure of known sections and shape under loading by the normal force and the bending moment. Constraint conditions are given by the conditions of structure reliability in accordance with the relevant codes for ultimate strength and applicability of ...

Governing Within the Constraints of Carbon Budgets: Regional Insights From Sweden
ABSTRACT Staying within the limits of a rapidly shrinking global carbon budget while avoiding dependency on negative emissions technologies and carbon dioxide removal remains a significant challenge in a multi‐level governance system, where resources and responsibilities are dispersed among different actors.

ABSTRACT Incoherence between national land use policies may weaken climate mitigation efforts by creating conditions under which agricultural and forestry production and GHG emissions are displaced across borders (leakage). Coherence depends on constellations and prioritization of national policy aims in land use (production) and climate (conservation).

Energy based evaluation of rc frame structures
Günümüzde deprem ve yapı mühendisleri, kuvvete dayalı klasik deprem tasarım metodunun yapıların sismik etkiler altındaki tasarımı için yeterli olmadığını düşünmektedirler. Bunun en başlıca nedeni; geleneksel tasarım yönteminin elastik ötesi yerdeğiştirme, yapıların plastik bölgedeki davranışı ve yer hareketi süresi gibi parametrelere önem vermemesidir.
