Bio‐active designed peptide for hair keratin strengthening

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Bioactive tripeptides through in silico screening revealed KCV (Tripeptide‐132) as the most promising keratin‐targeting candidate. Experimental studies confirmed its superior hair‐strengthening performance with 44% tensile strength enhancement, 50% breakage reduction, improved surface integrity and fibre penetration.

Lived Experiences of Tooth Hypersensitivity in Children With Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Paediatric Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) can suffer from intense tooth hypersensitivity (TH), which may adversely affect various aspects of their emotional, social, and functional wellbeing. Assessment of triglyceride‐glucose composite indices associated mortality risk in diabetes‐related heart failure

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Elevated TyG‐Age significantly increases the risk of heart failure in diabetic patients. Furthermore, combining TyG‐Age with the TRS‐HFDM score greatly enhances predictive capability and mortality risk assessment for these patients. ABSTRACT Background Patients with diabetes are at an increased risk of heart failure.

Overnight Dynamics of Ventricular Cerebrospinal Fluid Amyloid‐Beta, Lactate and Hypocretin in Patients With Hydrocephalus: A Pilot Study

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This pilot observational study evaluated whether frequent overnight sampling of ventricular cerebrospinal fluid could clarify how sleep, hypocretin and lactate relate to amyloid‐β42 dynamics in adults with hydrocephalus. Seven participants underwent hourly ventricular cerebrospinal fluid sampling from early evening to late morning during ...

Mandarin Relative Clause Production by Second Language Learners: Subject–Object Asymmetry and Individual Differences

open access: yesLanguage Learning, EarlyView.
Abstract This study investigated which type of Mandarin Chinese relative clause (RC)—subject‐extracted relative clause (SRC) or object‐extracted relative clause (ORC)—imposes greater processing demands on second language (L2) learners’ production. Sixty‐two native (L1) Mandarin speakers and 72 L1 Korean learners of Mandarin participated in a picture ...
