A Metasurface for Boardband RCS Reduction
2020 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and North American Radio Science Meeting, 2020In this paper, a checkerboard metasurface is designed to achieve the radar cross section (RCS) reduction within a wide frequency band. The basic meta-atoms are printed on a substrate plane with two choices of layer thickness, and destructive interference are obtained by adjusting the geometry parameters of the meta-atoms.

A metasurface for RCS reduction
The 8th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2014), 2014We propose a kind of metasurface to produce the physics of diffusion. The surface is composed of the same type of metamaterial units but with different geometric dimensions. As different sized units lead to different reflection phases under the incidence of plane waves, by carefully choosing the phase distributions, the scattered energy from the ...

Two simple cloaking configurations that can be used for reducing the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of cylindrical metal objects are presented in this paper. The RCS reduction is accomplished by covering the objects with two different cloaking surfaces i.e.

Monostatic RCS reduction at mmWaves
2015 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 2015This article presents the design of planar dielectric non-absorptive surfaces for monostatic Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction at mmWaves. The proposed planar surfaces are composed of only dielectric unit cells that are designed in such away to exhibit 0o reflection phases at 71GHz and 88GHz, respectively.

Realizable Reduction of $RC$ Networks
IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 2007In this paper, we develop from various points of view the time-constant equilibration reduction (TICER) algorithm, a circuit-reduction method that converts a given network into a smaller network (one with fewer nodes and branches) by eliminating nodes that have few neighbors and small nodal time constants. Advantages of TICER include: great efficiency,

Viewed nose-on, a typical fighter aircraft has a radar cross section (RCS) on the order of one square meter. A similarly viewed low observable aircraft may have an RCS of only 0.01 square meter. Unless special RCS reduction measures are employed, even a comparatively small planar array antenna can have an RCS of up to several thousand square meters ...

Wideband RCS Reduction Matesurface Design
2019 IEEE 6th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (ISEMC), 2019In this research, a new artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) surface based on optimized multielement phase cancellation (OMEPC) is proposed for wideband RCS reduction. The square ring patch was chosen as the basic AMC element of the metasurface for its reflection phase change characteristics.
