Advanced Science, EarlyView.Quasi‐solid‐state calcium‐ion batteries (QSSCIBs) employing redox‐active covalent organic frameworks (COFs) based electrolytes are developed. The COFs’ crystalline porous structures, featuring aligned carbonyl groups, enabled high Ca2⁺ conductivity, supported by molecular dynamics simulations of the ion transport mechanism.

Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.Immobilizing CoPc on a carbon support switches its CO2 reduction selectivity from CO to CH3OH. Multiscale simulations reveal that the support actively modulates the catalytic environment by inducing desolvation of bottom layer of CoPc, which lowers the protonation barrier while leaving CO desorption nearly unaffected.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.In the aqueous AlCl3 electrolyte of aluminum‐metal batteries, the introduction of LaCl3 adjusts the solvation structure of Al3+ and enhances its diffusion level. The oxide precipitate formed by La3+ covers the aluminum metal anode and effectively alleviates corrosion reactions, thereby improving the cycling stability of the battery.

Cathode Electrolyte Interphase Engineering by Quaternized Chitosan for Stabilized Li–SPAN Batteries
Advanced Science, EarlyView.In this work, quaternized chitosan (QCS) is reported as an additive optimizing the sulfurized polyacrylonitrile (SPAN) cathode/electrolyte interphase (CEI). Its high positive charge density adsorbs PF6− anions, enriching the Helmholtz layer with aggregates. This promotes rapid anion desolvation, forming an anion‐derived CEI enriched in LiF.
