Deriving an Emergent Relational Schema from RDF Data [PDF]

open access: greenProceedings of the 24th International Conference on World Wide Web, 2015
We motivate and describe techniques that allow to detect an "emergent" relational schema from RDF data. We show that on a wide variety of datasets, the found structure explains well over 90% of the RDF triples. Further, we also describe technical solutions to the semantic challenge to give short names that humans find logical to these emergent tables ...

Sorted Neighborhood for Schema-Free RDF Data [PDF]

open access: hybrid, 2015
Entity Resolution ER concerns identifying pairs of entities that refer to the same underlying entity. To avoid $$On^2$$ pairwise comparison of n entities, blocking methods are used. Sorted Neighborhood is an established blocking method for Relational Databases.

PRSC: From PG to RDF and back, using schemas

open access: hybridSemantic Web
Property graphs (PG) and RDF graphs are two popular database graph models, but they are not interoperable: data modeled in PG cannot be directly integrated with other data modeled in RDF. This lack of interoperability also impedes the use of the tools of one model when data are modeled in the other.

Inference of Shape Expression Schemas Typed RDF Graphs

open access: green, 2021
We consider the problem of constructing a Shape Expression Schema (ShEx) that describes the structure of a given input RDF graph. We employ the framework of grammatical inference, where the objective is to find an inference algorithm that is both sound i.e., always producing a schema that validates the input RDF graph, and complete i.e., able to ...

Building RDF-Schema Based Knowledge Map for Knowledge Management Systems [PDF]

open access: closedJournal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, 2003
This paper attempts to implement the semantic web paradigm, which enables the semantic search of knowledge and information on the web environment, by adopting RDF, RDF-schema and Dublin core data element structure in the process of building knowledge map.

Direct Mapping and Turtle Ontology for Management of Indonesian Movies Knowledge [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2022
Web 2.0 or conventional web has developed into Web 3.0, known as semantic web. Semantic web technology requires ontology as the backbone in understanding a concept of knowledge.

RDF-TR: Exploiting structural redundancies to boost RDF compression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The number and volume of semantic data have grown impressively over the last decade, promoting compression as an essential tool for RDF preservation, sharing and management.

Mapping RDF Databases to Property Graph Databases

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
RDF triplestores and property graph databases are two approaches for data management which are based on modeling, storing and querying graph-like data. In spite of such common principle, they present special features that complicate the task of database ...
